About Us

GHANECare Community Based Organization

GHANECare is a Ghanaian National NGO, the organization has been in existence since 2nd February, 2008 as Community Based Organization in Status.

The organization has been registered as Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) on 23 January, 2012 and satisfied by Department of Social Welfare on 26th May, 2017 based on recommendations from our collaborators, partners and Board of Trustees due to our responsiveness to development issues in Jirapa Municipallity in Upper West Region to enable us work across the country.

The organization has its business addresses Off Tizza Road, Behind Old Pensioners Office, Box JI 40, Jirapa, Upper West Region and at the same premises of World Vision, Post Office Box 103, Atebubu, Bono East Region.

Safe Abortion Advocacy

More than one-in-ten pregnancy-related deaths in Ghana are as a result of unsafe abortions. In addition, 13% of Ghanaian women who have had an abortion, experienced complications linked to unsafe procedure(s). That’s according to Ghana Maternal Health Survey.
